We’re always looking for ways to refine and improve what we offer, and our updated Elite Range reflects that ongoing commitment. Building on the proven design and features of the original range, we’ve introduced Sunbrella Plus fabric to deliver enhanced performance, durability, and an expanded choice of colours, all while maintaining the fit, function, and finish our customers expect.
What's changed?
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our products, we have moved from WeatherMax80 to Sunbrella Plus across our Elite range following a careful review of long-term performance, usability, and customer experience.
WeatherMax remains a very capable fabric, particularly in terms of breathability and dimensional stability. However, in real-world UK conditions, its uncoated construction can allow some moisture transfer if the inside surface is touched during wet weather. While this is a known characteristic rather than a fault, it can occasionally lead to confusion in everyday use.
Sunbrella Plus offers a more balanced solution. It retains the look and durability of a premium acrylic canvas, with the added benefit of a PU coating on the underside. This provides improved resistance to water ingress while still allowing the fabric to breathe, helping to reduce both moisture transfer and condensation-related issues.
It also delivers the core performance expected of a premium marine fabric, including excellent dimensional stability, strong UV resistance, and the reassurance of a 10-year warranty. In addition, a wider choice of colours gives greater flexibility when tailoring each canopy.
From a manufacturing perspective, it enables us to achieve a consistently clean, stable fit without compromising on finish or performance.
Importantly, all of the design features our Elite range is known for remain unchanged, including contoured styling, internal window facings, and centre zips on applicable models.
Overall, this transition represents a considered step forward, delivering a more predictable and user-friendly canopy for everyday UK use, while maintaining the quality and finish our customers expect.
