Based in the North West of England at Catforth, near Preston, Lancashire, Amtrim Ltd is a specialist manufacturer of boat covers, canopies and marine upholstery.
As a professional Trim Shop Amtrim (not to be confused with county Antrim in Northern Ireland) can also fabricate Car Hoods and Interior Trim for many UK Classic and Kit cars.

To maintain a high level of service Amtrim Ltd caters mainly for craft moored on the Lancaster Canal, Leeds & Liverpool Canal and Marinas /Boat yards in the Lancashire area. Being based near Preston means we are within easy reach of most locations along the Lancaster canal. Other marine products include all-over boat covers, tonneau covers, half canopies, fishing boat covers, canvas repairs and marine upholstery.

APPRENTICE MARINE TRIMMER
This is a Full-Time opportunity for on-the-job training in a unique industry via a 2 year Government Apprenticeship.
The work is varied and involves all aspects of Marine Trimming including design, manufacture and repair of boat covers, canopies, tubular frame design & fabrication and Marine Upholstery. Check our web site at www.amtrim.co.uk for more information.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English who enjoys working with their hands. No prior experience in this field is required as full training will be given but planning and problem-solving skills would be extremely useful in this diverse type of work. Also, the work can often be quite physical so a degree of fitness and sense of balance is required.
The successful applicant will be working alongside a small team of experienced trimmers and be afforded the opportunity to be involved in the manufacturing process from day one. The job offers a good starting salary with a review after 12 months based on an assessment of improvement and productivity.
